We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner)/PA (Physician's Assistant) Hospitalist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality medical care to patients in the internal medicine department. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing illnesses, developing treatment plans, and ensuring the well-being of all individuals under your care. Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
• Develop and implement patient management plans.
• Prescribe medications and monitor ongoing treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
• Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
• Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.

Requirements:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) license.
• Proven experience in a hospitalist or internal medicine setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in patient assessments.
• Proficiency in medical software and electronic health records (EHR).
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.

No call requirement

Patient Volume: ~13 per day

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
