Position Duties: Editing Bloomberg news for international audience. Work with a team of professional reporters and editors to identify and publish breaking domestic and international financial news stories for dissemination on our worldwide proprietary Terminal. Publish breaking news stories on equity capital markets, initial public offerings, as well as general news with analysis as needed. Charged with verifying the accuracy of questionable facts and obtaining supplemental material and additional details from appropriate resources. Responsible for reviewing press releases on the Bloomberg Terminal to determine their news value, and coordinate writing assignments with reporters in our financial news division. Edit and report on activities that impact the global economy. Job Requirements: Position requires a Bachelors degree or the foreign equivalent in Journalism, Communications, English, or related. and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as Journalist, Reporter or related. Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following skills: Wire experience; Alternate forms of reporting (video, podcast, or data visualization); Covering corporate mergers, initial public offerings, and private equity deals; Cross-team collaboration in a global news environment; Covering stories involving finance and financial news; Working in a real-time news environment; Editing feature stories, source development, and breaking news; and, Building and developing an industry beat and overseeing / maintaining responsibility for coverage of that specific beat.
