The department of Music & Theatre at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as an Instructor, Choral Music/Director, Choral Activities. The anticipated start date is August 10, 2026. Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky Trail Town, nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to Cave Run Lake. This location provides opportunities for a wide range of outdoor recreation activities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaches 30 credit hours per academic year, including 6 credit hours of organization and supervision of choral activities, in Choral Music, Vocal Music, Music Education general education, and other undergraduate courses in the assigned discipline or related field, as assigned by chair. REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in music. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Evidence of experience in and potential for success in administration of choral events. Demonstrated excellence in teaching in higher education, particularly with first-generation college students; willingness to support high-impact learning. Evidence of scholarly, artistic, or professional achievements beyond the minimum qualifications for this rank. SPONSORSHIP: This position is not budgeted for Visa Sponsorship.
