Description:

You will be the Manufacturing Supervisor for our dynamic team in Troy, AL. Our team is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of a work group, delivering high-quality products, excellent performance, and on-time delivery. This person will be working 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs 2:00PM- 12:30AM).

What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team to achieve exceptional results, driving performance, and fostering a safe work environment. You will oversee daily operations, plan and assign work, and develop strategies to increase throughput and reduce inefficiencies.
Your responsibilities will include:
Daily supervision of a team, including planning and assigning work
Ensuring teammates are adequately trained and prepared for work
Tracking and documenting attendance and performance metrics
Building effective relationships and maintaining good employee relations
Ensuring a safe workplace, following safety and environmental policies
Collaborating with ESH to ensure compliance with regulations
Developing strategies to increase throughput and reduce inefficiencies

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience/combined education.

Must obtain an interim clearance prior to starting and have the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Working Knowledge of MS Office Software and Systems.
Proven ability to manage cost, quality, and schedule metrics.

**Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) background check to obtain approval to be an employee possessor (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Desired Skills:
- Six or more years of related experience
- Manufacturing and/or defense industry experience
- Ability to provide Leadership and obtain Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Working knowledge and previous experience managing cost, quality, and schedule metrics
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to maintain good employee relations within a team.
- Excellent oral, active listening, and written communications skills
- Team building skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
