As an Entry-Level Welder, you’ll start a career that’s hands-on, high-impact, and full of potential. What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll help build the steel structures that make modern life possible — from traffic poles to cell towers to irrigation systems. We’ll train you on the tools, techniques, and safety standards that set Valmont apart.

Your Responsibilities Include

  • Performing MIG welding on structural steel components
  • Reading basic blueprints and work instructions
  • Inspecting welds and ensuring product quality
  • Following safety procedures and reporting issues
  • Working closely with team members to meet production goals

What You Bring

Ideal Candidates Have

  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn

  • Basic familiarity with hand tools or power tools

  • Interest in welding or fabrication work

  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • No prior welding experience required — we’ll train you

Your Work Has Purpose
Every weld you make supports real-world systems — from lighting highways to powering farms to keeping communities connected. When you weld at Valmont, you’re building more than metal. You’re building infrastructure that lasts.
