Help shape the future of U.S. airspace safety and efficiency. We are seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will oversee the design, integration, and validation of hardware and software systems, ensuring seamless interoperability across mission-critical platforms. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth experience in federal contracting while supporting high-visibility aviation programs.
In this position, you will:
Apply your deep expertise to resolve integration challenges, guide technical teams, and ensure compliance with FAA and federal standards, while supporting modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS).
Prepare audit-ready documentation and compliance records.
Lead integration planning, design, and execution for FAA modernization programs.
Ensure successful interoperability of hardware, software, and communications systems.
Conduct and oversee system-level integration testing, verification, and validation (V&V).
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and program managers to define integration requirements and resolve design conflicts.
Develop and maintain integration documentation, diagrams, and interface control documents (ICDs).
Support risk assessments, trade studies, and impact analyses for integration strategies.
Provide technical oversight of subcontractors and vendors supporting integration work.
Ensure integration activities comply with FAA standards, federal requirements, and industry best practices.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for integration issues or system failures.

Deliver technical reports, dashboards, and executive-level briefings on integration progress and risks.

Basic Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with integration testing, system verification, and validation activities.
Proficiency with configuration management and version control tools (Git, SVN, etc.).
Strong background in networked systems integration.
Experience with virtualization, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with FAA, aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical federal systems.
Professional certifications such as CSEP (Certified Systems Engineering Professional), PMP, or ITIL.
Experience with FAA NextGen modernization programs or NAS integration initiatives.
Background in aviation communications, surveillance, or air traffic management systems.
Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., Cameo, Enterprise Architect).
Familiarity with international standards (ICAO, ISO/IEC 15288) for systems integration.

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
