Salary: $93,770 - 179,240 per year Requirements:

• I have a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 additional years of experience beyond the minimum requirement in lieu of a degree, OR I possess an approved certification from CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT (Veterans for IT), or eFIT (Employees for IT).
• I hold 4 years of software development experience demonstrating expertise in specific discipline(s)/technology(s).
• I possess 2 years of experience delivering technology solutions across all phases of the software systems and application development lifecycle, including leading code/design reviews.
• I have a basic understanding of one or more of the following: Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, and Python.
• I possess a developing level of discernment in business operations, risk management, industry practices, and emerging trends.
• I have experience supporting efforts to address production issues through troubleshooting applications and systems and can articulate technical challenges and solutions.
• I have a basic understanding of cloud technologies and tools.

Responsibilities:

• I will design, develop, code, and test intricate technical solutions, while investigating and resolving complex application and system technical issues through troubleshooting.
• I will continually improve operations by conducting complex systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
• I am responsible for preparing and installing complex solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
• I will adhere to the software development lifecycle, participate in design reviews, and learn key system design principles.
• I will mentor junior engineers and may begin mentoring peer engineers while reviewing teammates' code.
• I will ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled following risk and compliance policies and procedures.

In this role, I will play a crucial part in ensuring the high availability of Mainframe applications and enhancing the productivity of our Mainframe developers through support and improvement of Mainframe Utilities. I will also build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Mainframe applications while collaborating closely with business, product management, and IT partners across USAA. This position requires a presence in the office for four days a week and can be based in San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; or Charlotte, NC, with no relocation assistance available.

The salary range for this position is $93,770 - $179,240, reflecting the competitive market data and the individual’s experience.
