A global provider of fastening technology and supplier to the automotive industryin Greenville, SC is seeking a Purchasing Manager .
This role partners closely with the CEO and plays a key role in supplier strategy, cost optimization, and ensuring a reliable fastener supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage existing supplier agreements and build new supplier relationships.
Oversee daily supplier communication and monitor supplier performance metrics.
Coordinate closely with the Quality Department on supplier quality and audits.
Issue purchase orders, manage procurement budgeting, and ensure compliance with purchasing processes.
Lead supplier audits and oversee supplier performance across North America operations.
Support RFQ activities and handle initial purchase orders and PPAP documentation.
Partner with Key Account Managers to transition projects from development to production.
Supervise the Purchasing Administrator and maintain updated qualification matrices.
Assist Quality with customer complaints impacting the supply base.
Report department KPIs and maintain professional knowledge through continuous learning.
Perform additional related duties as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Associate degree
5-10 years of purchasing experience
Understanding of the automotive industry (ideally fasteners)
Fastener experience strongly preferred
German or Spanish language skills preferred
Prior supervisory experience preferred
