Are you a skilled General Surgery PA or ACNP with robotic experience looking to earn excellent income over the upcoming holidays? Lima, Ohio, has an immediate need for a dedicated provider to cover 24-hour surgical call for Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic Level II Trauma environment, focusing exclusively on OR and inpatient responsibilities with no clinic duties. The ideal candidate will be a proficient first-assistant, comfortable working alongside a surgeon, and must have recent experience with robotic-assisted surgery.

Assignment Details:

• Role: First-Assist and Surgical Call Coverage.
• Schedule: 24-Hour On-Call (high paying call rates!).
• Environment: Hospital-based, Level II Trauma, no clinic.

Required Holiday Coverage Dates:

We are seeking coverage for the following two periods. Candidates available for one or both are encouraged to apply.

• Thanksgiving Week: Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025 (7:00 AM) - Monday, Dec. 1, 2025 (7:00 AM).
• Christmas Week: Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025 (7:00 AM) - Monday, Dec. 29, 2025 (7:00 AM).

(A paid orientation of approximately 4 hours will be provided at the start of the first shift block.)

Responsibilities:

• Provide 24/7 on-call coverage for the General Surgery and Trauma service.
• Serve as the first-assist in the operating room for a variety of general surgery and trauma cases.
• Utilize robotic-assisted surgical systems during OR cases - recent experience is mandatory.
• Work in close collaboration with the on-call general surgeon.
• Manage surgical inpatients and consults as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Strong background as a first-assistant in General Surgery and Trauma. Proficiency and recent experience with robotic-assisted surgery is a non-negotiable requirement.
• Physician Assistant (PA):
  • Must be a Board Certified PA-C.
  • An Ohio license is NOT required to apply - client is willing to license the right PA candidate!
• Nurse Practitioner (NP):
  • Must be a Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) .
  • Must hold an active, unrestricted Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license. NPs without a compact license cannot be considered for this assignment.
• Certifications: Active and unencumbered BLS, ACLS, and ATLS.
• Credentials: Active DEA registration.
