Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer-Other - Intermediate to join our team in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development, a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, and proficiency in multiple programming languages and design techniques. This role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions while ensuring application resiliency and security.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Write secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance.
  • Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
  • Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation.
  • Apply technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity.
  • Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems.
  • Demonstrate understanding of overall software skills, including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement of software.
Qualifications:
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Proficient in Pega development as well as multiple design techniques.
  • Working proficiency in Pega toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
  • Good understanding of PL/SQL.
Additional Skills:
  • PegaSystems software development, v8.4 or higher.
  • PL/SQL.

Pay Range: $70 - $72

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
