Job Description

The Role: This position sprays surfaces of machines, manufactured parts or working area with protective or decorative material such as paint or enamel. This job requires strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Cleans grease and dirt from equipment.
• Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush or steel wool.
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
• Pours coating liquid in to spray container and connects gun to air hose.
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
• Coast areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush.
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Safety is every employee’s responsibility. This position is responsible for ensuring their personal safety, the safety of teammates and visitors. It is the responsibility of all employees that safety practices are understood and followed by team and visitors.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Operate lift truck with certification.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

• Manufacturing environment: may be exposed to loud noises, machinery with moving parts
• Wearing proper personal protective equipment when in manufacturing areas (safety glasses, safety shoes and respirator).
• Potential for domestic or international travel.
• Bending, stooping, twist, turn, sitting for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50lbs occasionally.

Minimum Qualifications

• Keep proprietary and company information confidential in compliance with employee agreement.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate in the English language.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Have a High school diploma.
• Physical Capacity Profile test, Pulmonary test and drug/alcohol screening required.
• Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules.
• Self-motivated.
