Position Title: MRI Technologist
Location: New York, NY (10025)
Job Type: Contract
Shift: 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM, Monday – Friday (rotating weekends required)
Duration: 13-week assignment
Pay Rate: $60 – $65/hr | Up to $2,437.50/week
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking MRI Technologist for an exciting job in New York, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MRI imaging procedures according to established protocols.
Position patients and coils to obtain optimal imaging studies.
Educate patients on the procedure, areas to be imaged, and any special instructions.
Review patient safety questionnaires before introducing patients to the MRI scan room.
Ensure all MRI images are accurately labeled and transmitted to PACS.
Complete patient studies in IDX (Radiology Information System) in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of radiology rooms and equipment.
Scan and manage patient-related documents and records.
Maintain necessary supplies and accessories in the imaging room.
Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions to the supervisor promptly.
Assist physicians as required and call for in-patients when needed.
Perform clerical duties in the absence of support personnel.
Adhere strictly to safety guidelines to prevent introduction of ferromagnetic materials.
Follow infection control policies to protect self, patients, and staff.
Attend professional development meetings and in-services as required.
Maintain licensure and certifications in good standing.
Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience.
Valid NYS Radiologic Technologist license.
Advanced-level certification from ARRT or ARMRIT.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
