Travel: Up to 10%

LaunchTech is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This role focuses on driving adoption of MBSE principles across the organization and integrating system design into a cohesive digital environment. You will collaborate across engineering disciplines to build, refine, and sustain enterprise-level architectures that ensure mission readiness.

What You’ll Do

As a Model Based Systems Engineer, you will:

• Drive culture and adoption of MBSE throughout the organization by promoting the use of MBSE and providing training and support to the team

• Develop standard work and business operating procedures related to MBSE and system architecture deployment

• Create formal processes for applying MBSE within the program

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and integrated system design and digital environments

• Integrate Model Based Systems Engineering principles and requirements into digital environments across the enterprise

• Develop and manage system architectures, interfaces, and requirements using MBSE tools, creating models with SysML or similar languages to represent structure, behavior, and functional/non-functional requirements

• Communicate complex engineering information to team members of various backgrounds and disciplines

• Help establish and maintain the Technical Baseline for a Command and Control (C2) and Research, Development, and Test (RDT) Operations Center

What You Bring

Basic Requirements:

• Must have 5, or more, years of systems engineering experience

• Must have strong knowledge of systems engineering frameworks (e.g. DoDAF, UAF, TOGAF)

• Must have strong knowledge of modeling languages (e.g. SySML, UML)

• Must have experience using model-based SE tools (DOORs, Cameo, Rhapsody, etc.)

• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or any STEM related field

Compensation:
This position is expected to pay $130,000 – $145,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and certifications directly related to the role.
