Materials Manager | Hart, MI

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

We are partnering with organizations in Hart that are seeking Materials Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize material flow and minimize carrying costs.
• Lead the planning and execution of material requirements (MRP) to support production schedules and customer demand.
• Oversee the efficient operation of warehousing, shipping, and receiving functions.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials.
• Manage and develop the materials team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and material availability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in material handling, storage, and logistics processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain leadership within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory control, planning, and purchasing.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, forecasting techniques, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team, along with strong negotiation abilities.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• APICS CSCP or CPIM certification
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for supply chain analytics
• Experience with international logistics and customs compliance
