Location: Plano, TX (5 Days Onsite)
Rate: $55/hr on W2
Contract Type: W2 Only (No C2C or 1099)
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support a large-scale modernization project transitioning from Mainframe to Java/AWS (no Java experience required). This role will focus on mainframe development and contribute to the design of future microservices.
Strong experience with COBOL
IMS (Information Management System)
DB2 (Database 2)
Experience with Mainframe Assembler Programming may be considered in place of COBOL
Daily hands-on work with COBOL, IMS, and DB2 in prior roles
General understanding of cloud computing concepts
Familiarity with Ansible, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or similar DevOps tools
Work on existing mainframe systems
Support the design of microservices architecture as part of the modernization process
No Java work required
W2 candidates only
Must be local to Plano, TX or able to relocate immediately
This is a full onsite role (no remote or hybrid)
