Job Description
Duties Provide administrative support to 1st party litigating attorney and legal professionals - Prepare and draft legal documents, such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings - Conduct legal research using various resources, including Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw - Organize and maintain legal files and documents - Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings - Assist with document production and management using iManage or similar software - Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and completeness - Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence - Manage attorney calendars and deadlines
Requirements : - 4+ years of proven experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role - Proficient in data entry and typing skills - Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures - Familiarity with legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Knowledge of iManage or similar document management software is a plus - Paralegal certification or degree is preferred.
