POSITION SUMMARY:

Focus Interpreting is seeking a talented English - Korean Simultaneous Interpreter to join our dynamic team. This position requires a professional interpreter capable of providing real-time interpretation services during meetings, conferences, and various events, ensuring effective communication between English and Korean speakers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide simultaneous interpretation services in high-pressure environments to facilitate communication between English and Korean speakers.
• Utilize state-of-the-art interpretation equipment and technology to ensure clarity and accuracy of communication.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold a high level of professionalism throughout all interpretation sessions.
• Prepare for each session by researching relevant terminology specific to the context of the event, whether it be legal, medical, or corporate.
• Continuously enhance language skills and stay updated on cultural nuances relevant to both languages for optimal interpretation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluency in both English and Korean with exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Proven experience in simultaneous interpretation, demonstrating a strong mastery of interpretation techniques in real-time settings.
• Deep understanding of cultural subtleties and the ability to convey meanings accurately between languages.
• Excellent listening and comprehension skills to ensure fidelity and precision in interpretation.
• Previous experience in interpretation within professional settings is preferred.
