Salary: $93,770 - 179,240 per year Requirements:

• I require a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative analytics field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science, or another quantitative discipline. Alternatively, I will accept 4 years of relevant experience in statistics, mathematics, or quantitative analytics in lieu of a degree.
• I expect 4 years of experience in data/analytics or relevant functional business experience within the respective industry (e.g., P&C, Banking, Finance), or an advanced degree in the aforementioned fields along with 2 years of pertinent experience.
• I look for competency in mathematical and statistical techniques that facilitate fact-based decision-making.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, and developing analysis queries/procedures using SQL, SAS, BI tools, or other analytical software is necessary. I also value the ability to link external insights to business challenges.

Responsibilities:

• You will leverage your intermediate and some advanced business, analytical, and technical knowledge to engage in discussions with cross-functional teams, collaborating to understand and meet business objectives while influencing solution strategies.
• You will apply advanced analytical techniques to solve medium to large-scale business problems, addressing current or future business strategies.
• Innovative and scientific/quantitative analytical methods will be employed by you to draw conclusions and formulate 'insight to action' recommendations that align with business objectives and advocate for necessary changes.
• Your recommendations will be communicated effectively through materials presented for peer review and to mid-to-upper level management, utilizing visualization techniques to enhance understanding for less technical audiences.
• You will identify, gather, and transform the relevant and quality data sources needed to adequately address problems through testing or exploratory data analysis (EDA).
• It is important that you document assumptions, methodologies, validations, and testing thoroughly for compliance and peer review purposes.
• You will stay informed of emerging technologies that may impact scientific methodologies or quantitative approaches to problem-solving.
• Your analysis and findings will need to be delivered in a manner that demonstrates understanding, influences management, garners support for recommendations, and steers business decisions and strategies.
• Lastly, you will ensure that risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in line with established risk and compliance policies and procedures.

In terms of compensation, the salary range for this position is $93,770 - $179,240, and I take pride in USAA's effective process for evaluating market data to remain competitive. Your actual salary will be based on your experience, market data, and may vary by location.
