Job Description

Salary: $127,310 - 243,340 per year Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant experience, which can be substituted for a degree.
  • 6 years of experience in Security Engineering and/or Information Technology with a security focus, including experience leading enterprise technology projects or initiatives.
  • 4 years of experience in delivering technology solutions throughout all phases of the solution development lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in guiding security strategies, solutions, or initiatives with a successful track record.
  • Proficient with modern programming or scripting languages and frameworks.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and leading security engineering activities applying modern DevSecOps practices.
  • Demonstrated success with agile delivery methods and a willingness to be adaptable while delivering value consistently.
  • Ability to resolve complex production issues by troubleshooting applications and systems.
  • Knowledge of platform engineering concepts regarding security best practices, including infrastructure/policy as code, security architecture design patterns, security vendor integrations, and CI/CD pipelines with built-in application security controls.
  • Familiarity with event-driven security architecture, methods, and controls.
  • Understanding of security architecture necessary to meet compliance and audit requirements.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and emerging technologies such as Public Cloud, Containerization, Security Data Lakes, ML/LLMs, and GenAI.
Responsibilities:
  • I ensure that all security requirements are addressed throughout the solution/application enablement and sustainment lifecycle.
  • I design, develop, code, integrate, and test complex cross-functional technical solutions with a focus on security, often collaborating with Engineers and Architects from outside my team or department.
  • I lead the team in conducting code/design reviews and identifying engineering efficiencies to ensure effective operations and accurate planning.
  • I support the resolution of intricate production issues and troubleshooting of end-to-end solutions that span multiple applications and systems.
  • I collaborate with architecture teams to define direction for critical cross-functional or complex technologies within specific security domains.
  • I contribute to community growth through active involvement in training opportunities, conferences, and professional societies.
  • I leverage Site Reliability Engineering practices within my domain.
  • I ensure risks associated with my domain activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in alignment with risk and compliance policies.
  • I support cross-functional efforts as a subject matter expert in my domain.
  • I monitor and troubleshoot highly complex systems, tools, and vendor integrations.
  • I engage in ongoing research, analysis, and troubleshooting to identify, resolve, and report on complex security issues.
  • I work closely with Security Analysts, IT, and Business Partners to refine, strengthen, and enhance Security solutions and technologies in line with the latest trends and threats.
  • I provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development while ensuring that the team remains updated with the latest security advancements.

The Cyber Threat Fusion & Emulation (CTFE) Team is on the lookout for a Cyber Threat Intelligence Senior Engineer to manage and maintain our Cyber Threat Intelligence infrastructure and malware analysis capabilities, crucial for the success of the Cyber Threat Operation Center (CTOC) mission. We offer a dynamic environment where individuals must be in the office 4 days per week, with positions available in locations such as San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, or Charlotte, NC.

Compensation for this role ranges from $127,310 to $243,340, and we do not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
