This may include a forensic exam, laboratory testing, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, photographic documentation, referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support and participation in legal proceedings and other duties as required. The Forensic Nurse Examiner will perform suspect exams. This role will work throughout the Marshfield Clinic Health System. **JOB QUALIFICATIONS** **EDUCATION** _For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._ **Minimum Required:** Diploma or degree in nursing and/or Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. Certificate of completion for an approved Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner - Adult/Adolescent **or** Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner - Pediatric course. If not completed, these trainings will be provided. **Preferred/Optional:** Bachelor's degree in nursing. **EXPERIENCE** **Minimum Required:** None **Preferred/Optional:** Two years hospital nursing experience and experience evaluating and caring for victims of assault, domestic abuse, child and elder abuse, neglect, and sexual crimes. **CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES** _The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position._ **Minimum Required:** State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license and/or Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. **Preferred/Optional:** SANE-A and SANE-P certifications at time of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
