About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our finance team with daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. This role plays an important part in ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records.
• Maintain accurate financial files and documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Enter, update, and verify financial data in accounting software.
• Support payroll processing as needed (optional).
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding billing or payment inquiries.
• Generate routine financial reports and spreadsheets.
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Previous experience as an Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper, or related role.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred).
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar).
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and time-management abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information responsibly.
