About Our Client:

Addison Group is working with a growing industrial distribution company seeking an organized and motivated AP/AR Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who’s looking to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

The AP/AR Specialist will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting with billing and collections. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices and perform three-way match of purchase orders and receipts.
• Handle vendor inquiries and ensure timely resolution of billing or payment discrepancies.
• Enter AP and AR transactions into the accounting system with a high degree of accuracy.
• Prepare and distribute customer invoices and monitor outstanding balances.
• Assist with reconciliations and support month-end close activities.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to improve processes and ensure timely reporting.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 0–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (internships or entry-level roles welcome).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs preferred).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accountability.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Additional Details:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (onsite role).
• Interview Process: Initial virtual interview with HR followed by onsite meeting with the accounting team.
