Job Title: Account Manager – Industrial Automation

Primary Activities/Duties

  • Develop and manage strategic customer relationships within the industrial automation sector.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Provide technical consultation and product recommendations to customers.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts in alignment with company standards.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve issues to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline in CRM systems.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
  • Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning initiatives.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel regionally and occasionally nationally for customer visits and events.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation, technical sales, or account management.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Familiarity with automation technologies, control systems, and industrial applications.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
